Constitutionally Correct: The Bain of Conservatism

Constitutionally Correct a.k.a. Free Speech

. . . is exercising a Right Guaranteed by the 1st Amendment and is specifically NOT Politically Correct. Because if Free Speech were Politically Correct Speech than there never would have been a Revolution. There would not be a Free Country of Free Men & Women Governing Themselves because after all, to speak of such things in the mid-18th Century was considered sedition by the governing body, the British. They would have been put to death in the name and spirit of putting their thoughts and words to death. So those people in this century promoting the term "Politically Correct" need to be vilified for this very reason. They are undermining the very cornerstone of this country's foundation. They are doing so to guard their agendas from Fair criticism by changing the very rules of discourse. So you may not agree with it, you may find it offensive and that's a good thing because self-censored speech is not Constitutionally Correct speech. And anything else is death of a freedom so many have fought for and died to provide.

The Bain of Conservatism

I am reading this story in the Washington Examiner after what was obviously a Mitt Romney loss to Newt Gingrich in last night's debate

Ever since Reagan cleaned Carter's clock in that final debate before the election the conventional wisdom is front runners only lose ground in debates so why risk it?

In this case, if he doesn't show up, Mitt is going to look like the Bain analyst who is crunching the numbers and playing the short odds instead of looking like a leader who gets going when the going gets tough. Which is to say his absence will make him look increasingly arrogant, impatient for the "coronation"; in short, stands to lose more than he will gain by not being in attendance.

I've worked around these Bain guys and it's not the free market capitalism that offends people. It's all the gutlessness and shrewd calculus that people are sensing. It comes across as cold, almost reptilian. This is what makes Mitt the perennial 24 percenter; the loser to the loser.
